The Lighter Side of a Serious Mission
There is so much in life that we have to take seriously, so why not laugh whenever you get the chance! Do you know how to use a Squatty Potty? Would it be unnerving if your taxi driver, during a traffic jam, crossed the median to make his own lane against oncoming traffic? Have you ever rented an apartment and later had some of the landlord s family move in with you unannounced? The Lighter Side of a Serious Mission will make you laugh out loud, as a missionary takes you through unbelievable and humorous escapades of cross-cultural living in the former Soviet Union! And by the end, you ll get a chance to reflect on the seriousness of the mission in Ukraine, as well as in your own personal world.
Kenyon Powers' 12 years in Ukraine has given her a wealth of sights, sounds and smells to share with her readers. "The Lighter Side..." offers a refreshing perspective on the triumphs, trials and tribulations of an ordinary missionary mother and wife doing her best to just get through every day with her sanity intact."
